You will see in the destruction lists awaiting approval page there are 3 statuses of destruction of pending, approved and refused.

Pending:

When a destruction list is tagged as "pending", this means that the destruction of the documents on this list is either awaiting approval from the principal, or similar authority if applicable for your school, or awaiting disposal. To check the status, click on the list name and scroll to the bottom of the list.

If you see the 'Resend authority' button, your list still requires approval. Click the resend button and it will send an email to the registered contact in the security section.

Approved:

When a destruction list is tagged as "approved", this means that the principal or similar authority has personally approved of the attempt to destroy the documents in the list. You can proceed to destroying the documents in the list by clicking on the red "Destroy This List" button on the lower left-hand side of the "Destroy" tab.

Refused:

When a destruction list is tagged as "refused", this means that the principal or similar authority has been notified of the destruction list and has declined a user's attempt to push through with the destruction.
